wowsers! i am thrilled to finally post this stunning wedding! this one is particularly special to me because i’m related to the bride (basically…she’s my sister-in-law-in-law?). i was so excited when she called me up months ago to ask if i could capture their big day. without hesitation i said yes! i met her fiancé sam (now hubs!!!) the day of the wedding and he is such a good guy, truly (i don’t throw that term out loosely). they got married at the church monica grew up going to, and their reception was at a pretty stellar venue overlooking downtown dc. although the venue blew me out of the water, watching moinca and sam together was even more amazing. you could look at them and see that they’re meant to be together. not because it’s easy, but you can tell how much time and effort and love they’ve poured into each other and their relationship (sorry for the sap, but i’m being honest!). it was a really neat to shoot a wedding like that. all in all, the day was glorious. the best part was when i had to force monica out of the limo to take photos in the torrential downpour. it wasn’t funny at the time, but hopefully when they see these photos they’ll think the raindrops were definitely worth it! i hope you enjoy! congratulations, you two!
