Monochromatic Painting Workshop | February 5th, 19th or 28th
Description
NEW! Explore monochromatic painting through a single, stunning prussian blue palette. You'll work with gouache on an 8 x 10 canvas, learning how to build depth, movement, and visual interest using only one color. Under Jenna's step by step guidance, you'll paint a dynamic flock of seagulls against a beach landscape, discovering how tonal variation creates dimension and drama. This focused approach strengthens your understanding of color theory and compositional balance.
The goal of this class is to provide a safe, welcoming environment to explore the creative genius that everyone has inside of them. Instead of focusing on the outcome of the painting itself, the process will be emphasized. Creating is a means of letting go, loosening up, and enjoying the journey. All skill levels, beginner to advanced, are welcome.
All supplies are provided. 8 x 10 canvas, gouache paint, pencil, eraser, water cup, brushes, and more.
This is a two and a half hour class offered on:
- Thursday, February 5th, 6-8:30 pm
- Thursday, February 19th, 6-8:30 pm
- Saturday, February 28th, 4-6:30 pm
Location: Jenna Alexander Studio, 73 San Marco Avenue.
Ages 14+ unless child is very motivated to paint. Workshops are not refundable. If you cannot make the class, you can find someone to replace your spot.
