Love is in the air! Bring your date or best gal pal to this valentines painting workshop! Charcuterie and Wine by Sunday is included! In this class, Jenna will be guiding students through the process of creating their very own painting on watercolor paper. The theme "The Pink Orange" is inspired by citrus slices with heavy shadows against a pink background.
The class will start with an ice-breaker and then Jenna will then lead the class step by step through painting basics, sketching out the composition, observing light and dark values, and applying color with a controlled palette. The medium is gouache, water based paint sizing 9 x 12 inches.
The goal of this class is to provide a safe, welcoming environment to explore the creative genius that everyone has inside of them. Instead of focusing on the outcome of the painting itself, the process will be emphasized. Creating is a means of letting go, loosening up, and enjoying the journey. All skill levels, beginner to advanced, are welcome.
All supplies are provided
The two and half hour workshop is available on:
- Friday February 14th, 6-8:30 pm
- Sunday February 16th, 3-5:30 pm
Location: Jenna Alexander Studio, 73 San Marco Avenue.
Charcuterie and wine is provided by Sunday Gathering Table
All ages welcomed, children 14+.
Workshops are not refundable. If you cannot make the class, you can find someone to replace your spot.
